"Four out of five business leaders say their companies maintained or increased spending on training in the past six months, rather than slashing it as in previous recessions.
The finding, in a survey of nearly 1,000 leaders by the Institute of Directors, suggests that companies see training as a way of boosting staff morale, increasing productivity and preparing to take advantage of an upturn. Nearly 90 per cent of directors said their businesses planned at least to maintain investment over the next six months. The majority said they were reducing expenditure such as hospitality and staff bonuses and cutting jobs, rather than decreasing training budgets."FT.com 28 June 2009
At City College Norwich we are committed to helping you, the employer in all aspects of your training requirements. Recent feedback from our existing employer partners has highlighted the need for a facility to allow the monitoring of the progress of each of your students. The Traininghub.co.uk is an innovative website that addresses that need and we believe we are the first educational institution to offer such a facility.
In the interests of Data Protection and Data Security we would like you to familiarise yourself with the procedure, detailed in the left hand panel of this page, explaining how you as an employer can access your employees' data held by the College.
Once you are verified as the person within the company who can gain access to personal data, and the student has given their consent, a list of current students will show on your My Employees page. By clicking on the students name, you will be linked into the college MIS, showing you the EILP Electronic Individual Learning Programme.
Data available will include existing qualifications, current course title and performance rate, targets and details of attendance in college.
