Plumbing NVQ Level 2

A flexible syllabus, enabling training to be tailored to meet specific needs of employers and their employees. It gives participants within the plumbing industry the opportunity to build and develop more in depth plumbing skills covering subjects such as hot & cold water systems, central heating systems, common plumbing principles & practices as well as health & safety.

12-18 Months

Machine Woodworking NVQ Level 2

A flexible syllabus, enabling training to be tailored to meet specific needs of employers and their employees. It gives participants the opportunity to build and develop more in depth woodwork skills, covering subjects such as safety of machines, setting up & maintaining machines, identifying & preparing materials as well as the construction of joinery & furniture items.

Who Will Benefit:

The qualification is designed for those who are currently working in the woodwork industry, to support & strengthen their understanding and development.

Wood Occupations NVQ Level 2

A flexible syllabus, enabling training to be tailored to meet specific needs of employers and their employees. It gives participants within the carpentry industry the opportunity to build and develop more in depth carpentry skills covering subjects such as the manufacturing of joinery products, marking out joinery items from drawings, & producing setting rods, enabling doors, windows, stairs & cabinets to be made accurately.

Who will benefit?

Brickwork NVQ Level 2

A flexible syllabus, enabling training to be tailored to meet specific needs of employers and their employees. It gives participants within the construction industry the opportunity to build and develop more in depth construction skills, covering subjects such as masonry, concrete, drainage, plastering and roofing.

Duration:

12-18 Months

Who will benefit:

The qualification is designed for those who are currently working in construction or building work to support their understanding and development.

Entry requirements:

Cleaning and Support Services NVQ Level 2

To achieve the Level 2 NVQ in Cleaning and Support Services you must complete 6 units. This is made of 3 mandatory units and 3 optional units.

Mandatory Units:

  • Make sure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety (ENTO)
  • Communicate effectively with customers and others

and either

  • Work as a team and develop yourself

Or

Housekeeping NVQ Level 2

Who is it for?:

Housekeeping staff working in the Hotel, leisure, self-catering, bed & breakfast industries and care occupations.

It can also help those who are progressing to Head Housekeeper and other supervisory roles.

Skills & Knowledge gained:

Employees will gain skills and knowledge relating to safe, hygienic and secure environments, team working, cleaning and servicing a range of areas and using different chemicals and equipment.

Food and Drink Service (Food only) NVQ Level 2

This course delivers service skills for those working in hospitality and catering. Training covered includes; customer care, food safety and hygiene, team working and food service.
 
The Food Service is aimed at staff involved in the servicing of food across a wide range of catering or hospitality environments. It is also suitable for team members in a quick service environment.

Food and Drink Service (Drink only) NVQ Level 2

This course delivers service skills for those working in hospitality and catering. Training covered includes; customer care, food safety and hygiene, team working and drink service.

Who is it for?

The Drink Service is aimed at bar-persons, cellar-persons and possibly bar supervisors across a wide range of catering or hospitality environments. It is also suitable for team members in a quick service environment.

Hospitality Supervision NVQ Level 3

This course offers an in depth understanding of all areas of hospitality, with the chance to specialise within their own supervisory area. The course will suit those already in a supervisory role, who wish to develop their skills further and progress to junior management.

Skills & Knowledge gained:

Multi-Skilled Hospitality NVQ Level 2

This course delivers a wide range of practical skills which can be tailored to suit individual needs. Staff will have the opportunity to build and develop on more in depth hospitality skills, with units covering front office, housekeeping, food and drink preparation and service.
