National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (BIIAB) Level 2

This course covers all the basic licensing law and the social responsibilities of licensees relevant to each class - on licence and off licence. 

It is now the law in England and Wales that anyone who authorises the sale of alchohol to the public must hold a personal licence.

IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely

IOSH Managing Safely is a nationally recognized qualification in Helath and Safety for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation.  It is designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams.

The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues and includes a session tackling the environment.  Managing Safely can be delivered over four days in one week or over a period of four weeks.  The course lasts for 24 hours in total. 

Intermediate Certificate in Wines, Spirits and other Alcoholic Beverages (WSET)

Anyone who handles wines, spirits and other alchoholic beverages as part of their job will find this course invaluable.  It is also suitable for members of the public who have a general interest and wish to develop their personal knowledge and expertise.

It covers world-wide areas and techniques of production, market statistics, storage and handling, presentation and promotion and assessment by tasting.

Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 Award in First Line Management

The award is a concise qualification which gives an introduction to the basic skills, knowledge and understanding required by today's first line manager.  The mandatory unit "Solving Problems and Making Decisions" is designed to develop practical techniques for tackling managerial problems and making decisions from gathering and interpreting information through to the effective communication of outcomes.

Course Level:  Level 3

Course Duration:  Six Days (34 hours)

Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 Award in Team Leading

ILM Team Leading qualifications are for those people who are working in formal teams or groups, whether as team leaders/co-ordinators, or team members.  The qualifications are equally suitable for members of self-managed teams.  They may work in factories and offices, in hospitals, in call centres, on building sites, in leisure centres or in the armed services.  Wherever people and resources are employed, team workers with an ILM Team Leading qualification ensure that they are employed effectively.

HAB Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Hospitality Customer Service

This qualification aims to develop the candidate's knowledge of the key areas that are required to promote and support good customer service.  It can also contribute to the development of key communication, working with others and problem solving.

HAB Customer Service (Service Sector)

CIEH Principles of Manual Handling Certificate

This course enables employees to contribute to the development of safer manual handling methods and tasks.

This qualification introduces candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment.  It will enable employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.

Course Duration:  Half Day

CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering

For those working in all food businesses at a supervisory level.

Changes in legislation which came into affect in January 2006 have placed greater onus and accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility.  It is therefore vital they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively.
